Collaborating with a friend, I recently led the redesign and development if the IF magazine website. Working alongside a talented architect-turned-designer, I leveraged my interdisciplinary skills to bridge the gap between design and development and create a seamless user experience. Throughout the project, I utilized my expertise in both design and development to ensure that the website was not only visually stunning but also highly functional and user-friendly. By reducing the friction between the two disciplines, I was able to create a more efficient and streamlined development process. The opportunity to work on this project was incredibly rewarding, and I'm proud of the impact that our team was able to make.

n just 14 weeks, I designed and developed a mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms, from initial conception to final mockups. This project was the result of my UI/UX training at DesignBoat, where I gained expertise in the entire product life cycle. Throughout the project, I applied my skills in user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design to create a seamless user experience that met our target audience's needs. When I started the 100-day UI challenge, I was a complete beginner to design tools and online resources. But through dedication and persistence, I gradually honed my skills and built up my knowledge base. As I completed each of the 100 problem statements, I gained a deeper understanding of the nuances of UI design, from typography and color theory to layout and user experience. By the time I finished the challenge, I had transformed from a novice to a skilled designer, with a wealth of knowledge at my fingertips. The experience was a true test of my durability and commitment, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I'm excited to continue pushing myself and exploring new challenges as I build my career in UI design.

About Me

Hey, if you're a recruiter just scanning for keywords, I got you covered.

When it comes to brainstorming, you'll find me using Miro to map out my ideas. For wireframing and design, I'm a big fan of both Adobe XD and Figma. When it's time to develop websites, I rely on React and its frameworks like NextJS. I also have experience in developing mobile apps using React Native. To keep my thoughts organized , I use NotesApp (which I actually built myself!). And of course, I collaborate with my team using tools like Slack and Discord.

For the rest of you: I'm passionate about creating products that focus on user experience and performance. I love working on the front-end of things and collaborating with designers. That's how I discovered my love for wireframes and personas, and started my journey into the world of UI/UX. I've been lucky enough to work on a variety of UI/UX projects as both a developer and a designer. Having experience on both sides of the process helps me bridge the gap between teams and make the handover process smoother. When I'm not working, you can find me doing a few things. I love watching football, playing football, and even gaming (mostly football games, of course). I also like to tend to my garden, tinker with my PC (which I built myself!), and write for Plain English and Bootcamp. And did I mention football? It's kind of my thing.

As part of my journey in learning UI/UX design, I took on the challenge of redesigning my own website from scratch. After completing the design and development phases, I realized that the deployment process was a bit cumbersome. At the time, the only way to deploy updates was to manually merge code into the master branch and then deploy using the command line interface (CLI). I began researching alternative deployment methods to simplify the process and make it more efficient.

As the WFH culture grew globally in 2020 due to the pandemic, I found myself with more time on my hands at home. I decided to put my skills to use and create a simple game. With so many people now spending time online, I thought it would be a fun way to provide some entertainment for others. With a focus on simplicity and user experience, I spent several weeks developing the game and refining it until I was happy with the final product. Overall, it was a fulfilling project that not only helped me improve my skills but also brought joy to others during a challenging time.

As a young developer, I was thrilled by the idea of creating something that could run on billions of devices. That's what inspired me to learn how to build mobile apps. Soon after, I set out to create a simple, yet useful application that I could use myself and share with others. And that's how NotesApp was born - a sleek and intuitive note-taking app designed to help users stay organized and productive on the go.
